Sunshine Coast Council is offering Land for Wildlife participants across the region assistance in restoring native vegetation and habitat on their properties.
This year’s incentives aim to assist landholders in habitat restoration on their properties. They are:
- Native plant seedlings for revegetation
- Wildlife nest boxes
- Weed Control Introduction
Land for Wildlife members may only apply for ONE type of incentive each year. Properties with multiple allotments and/or multiple owners but under one LFW registration can only apply for ONE incentive each year.
Before completing this application form, applicants are encouraged to review the program information on Council's website.
Native Plant Seedlings for Revegetation Application
Applicants can apply for up to 300 native seedling plants to assist rehabilitation in their Land for Wildlife habitat area.
Applicants require a well thought out plan for habitat restoration on their properties and should first assess whether it is necessary to plant, keeping in mind that planting should only be undertaken on sites where natural regeneration is not an option. The seedling incentive cannot be used for landscape, gardening or agroforestry projects, and species selection must be based on the Regional Ecosystem/s associated with your property. If you are unsure of your Regional Ecosystem, please contact your Conservation Partnerships Officer.
If you are successful you will be notified by letter and email and your name and contact details will be provided to your selected nursery supplier(s). It is encouraged that you make contact with the nursery to organise plant selection (from the applicable Regional Ecosystem(s)) prior to collection.
All seedlings must be picked up before Sunday 17 May 2026.
